Recreational Fields

Before tournaments, competitive play, and all the organized paintball games came recreational paintball. Recreational paintball is a large game of capture the flag, except all the participants are armed with a paintball marker. Players of multiple skill levels all participate at the same time. Generally the teams are split to provide an even battle. Paintball is perfect for business get togethers, parties, or in lieu of other adult functions. Paintball builds teams, paintball builds camaraderie, paintball works.

Blitz Paintball feels that the game of Recreational Paintball is the root of all our tournament play, and as such, we are very interested in promoting general paintball play. We have over 5 acres of recreational paintball fields here on the complex, making our paintball facilities second to none in the region. Blitz offers 5 distinctive recreational play-zones; Hyperball, Spool field,Urban Combat, Black Hawk Down and The Fort.

Remember, The Blitz has separate parking and staging for tournament and rec players. So even if we are holding a tournament on the day you wish to come out, there is plenty of parking, staging and all the Rec. fields are open!!!

Hyperball – the beginning of tournament speedball, the field is made from Plastic culvert pipe set to be even on both sides of the field of play. The hyperball field is nearly the size of a football field.

Spool Field – this is a 5-10 player field that has around 50 spools of various sizes.

Urban Combat – this zone includes multiple obstacles including several houses. Fighting can take place house to house or teams can choose to either defend or attack the buildings.

Black Hawk Down – our re-creation of war torn Somalia, in which we have a real downed helicopter and 2 elevated forts in a massive play-field for multiple game scenarios.

The Fort – contains an exterior perimeter wall, 2 small forts and a huge 3-tiered central fort. Whether you choose to play the center fort by itself or encompass the entire field this is the zone for huge “Alamo” games.

Each of these individual arenas can be played separately or combine any of the following (either Urban Combat, Black Hawk Down and/or The Fort) to increase the scope of your battle to make for incredible and gigantic paintball wars. Our paintball fields come complete with a helicopter, forts, towers, and more. Come on out with your party this weekend, we would love to see a productive firefight amongst your office personnel.
